What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love the opportunity to help students build confidence in their abilities and develop a genuine understanding of concepts, particularly in maths. As a pre-service teacher, it is a rewarding experience to understand how your students best learn and have results that reflect this tailored learning experience.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my key strengths is creating a safe space for my students to learn. By forming meaningful relationships with our students, we can provide our students with the confidence they need to thrive academically, but also the skills they need for the rest of their lives. To further foster a supportive learning environment, I believe I am a patient, adaptable, and kind educator, who is willing to adjust my teaching strategies to fit any student I tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor should not only teach subject content but also empower students with problem-solving strategies and a growth mindset that they can use within and outside classrooms. I am a firm believer in strength-based learning, thus I believe it’s important to be patient and encouraging, helping students develop confidence in their abilities. A tutor should also personalise lessons based on the student’s specific learning preferences, while also introducing them to different strategies that allow them to obtain a well-rounded approach to learning.
