What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Seeing how different students understand certain concepts, through this I am able to explore the various misconceptions or questions they have about maths and in turn solidify what I know. This helps me become a better tutor, and even more easily teach other students the same concepts.
I also appreciate helping students, whether it be through school work or other concerns they may have, such as any tips for studying better or what certain subjects may be like if they are considering it for VCE. Seeing students become more confident in their skills is something I find very rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Having experience being tutored and tutoring, I believe I have a good understanding of the various ways to teach certain topics. I strive to adapt to a student's needs and preferred teaching style to help them as best as I can.
I am also passionate about what I teach, and I hope to inspire this same passion to my students. As a french club leader in highschool, I was often helping out junior students with questions and arranging relevant french activities to spark their interest in french culture.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Firstly, is to give student confidence and motivation. Having worked with students who hesitated to do work due to a lack in confidence, I aspire to help them and give them the encouragement they need to learn maths.
Secondly, is being a good role-model. I believe tutors can influence students, so by being passionate about a certain subject, this can also impact a student's motivation and interest in that subject.
