What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I think the most enjoyable part of tutoring is helping someone have that "aha!" moment, when a concept finally clicks, and they feel confident in their understanding. Seeing a student progress and gain confidence in their abilities is really rewarding. Also, tutoring isn’t just about teaching, but it’s about building connections and figuring out the best way to explain things in a way that makes sense to each student. Everyone learns differently, so finding creative ways to make learning engaging is a fun challenge, which also improves my own social skills.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my strengths as a tutor lie in my clear communication, patience, and adaptability. My experience interacting with customers during volunteering events, and assisting a sloka teacher during these events helps me adjust my approach based on different people’s needs. I also enjoy problem-solving and breaking down complex concepts in a way that makes sense to others. Most importantly, I’m eager to learn and improve, ensuring that I can always support my students in the best way possible.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Many students don’t struggle because they lack ability, but because they doubt themselves. A tutor’s role goes beyond just teaching, it’s about understanding the student as a person first. My job is to create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and truly engaging with the subject rather than just memorising it. Its important that as a tutor, I can spend time with a student and really understand them, as not everyone learns the same way, so I take the time to figure out what clicks for them.
