What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Throughout school, I’ve often helped classmates understand concepts they were struggling with, whether it was explaining a difficult problem or going over a topic before a test. I’ve always found it satisfying to break things down in a way that makes sense to someone else. Tutoring seems like a natural extension of that - it’s a meaningful job where I can use what I’ve learned to help others while also developing my own communication and problem-solving skills.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think one of my biggest strengths as a tutor is my ability to explain things in a way that actually makes sense, especially for students who struggle with just reading a textbook and memorising information. I’m a big verbal and visual learner, so I’d be able to adapt my explanations, use diagrams or examples, and break things down in a way that helps others who learn similarly to me. I also completed the IBDP, so if any students were looking to pursue that path I would be able to bring experience and tips or tricks that are helpful.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is build their confidence while also making sure they don’t develop resentment toward the content. By adapting to their learning style and keeping things engaging, a tutor can help students see the value in what they’re learning. When students start to enjoy the subject, they’re more likely to be motivated and eager to put in the work. It’s about making the learning process feel less like a chore and more like a positive, rewarding experience.
