What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

As a previous primary school teacher I enjoy working with children. I enjoy building relationships, sharing my expertise, passion for learning and helping students achieve their goals. I find it very rewarding watching children grow and overcome challenges in their learning.

- Patience: I am a very patient person and I am able to remain calm and can show learners different ways to overcome problems. - Good communication skills: I can explain concepts and ideas in a ways learners will understand. - Organisation: I am a very organised person and ensure I attend work prepared. - Subject knowledge: I have strong knowledge and have attended many courses on how to effectively teach maths. - Building positive relationships with students and families to provide a good learning environment. - Planning differentiated lessons based on the learners needs.

I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to build their confidence and encourage students to share their thoughts and opinions. Additionally tutors can help students develop their critical thinking skills to help them progress and be the best learner they can be.
