What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love teaching subjects I already have a passion for. I’ve had an interest in Maths and Science since my primary school days and tutoring allows me to share what I’ve learned to others. Furthermore, teaching these subjects means more students might be interested in them, creating more future contributions in these fields. I also enjoy that tutoring can give students the opportunity to strengthen their skills in a safe space. I am driven by seeing students feel confident in their studies so they keep exploring and love learning, and so strive to achieve it in my teaching.

Communication skills - Convey ideas clearly and concisely. Explain concepts in ways that are understandable to the person listening, adopting language suitable for them. Maintain constructive conversation, promoting student input and growth. Patience - Ensure students are confident and thorough in knowledge. Demonstrate the perseverance to help students achieve their full potential in studies. Flexibility - Different students have different learning styles. Can adapt own teaching style to maximize the information absorbed by each student. Accept criticisms to improve myself.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe it's important for tutors to create a positive mindset around learning. I as a tutor would ensure my learning space is one where students can gain confidence and master skills without fear of making mistakes. This creates adventurous learners, who I can assist in exploring and forming their own connections in their learning. Another important thing linked to this, I believe, is encouraging consistency and engagement in learning. I aspire to ensure students have lasting knowledge of what they learn, for example, by assisting them in setting goals and congratulating milestones.
