What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing my students' engage in their learning outside of school hours and are willing to make an effort to learn. Their improvement and motivation in tutoring is highly rewarding to me where I find myself to continue with tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths would be my passion and strong drive in education. Most teachers and tutors I have worked with have commented on my passion when explaining content to students where learning becomes engaging for them. I also work well with different learners, therefore, flexible with my tutoring methods. I have found myself in situations where one student would understand one of my learning explanations but another student needed a different explanation and way of teaching to understand- and it worked.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is being attentive to their learning needs and building that rapport with students. When we are attentive to our learners, they can trust us easier. Thereby, making it easier for them to rely on us to correct their work, provide more feedback, and working with them in a professional and approachable environment. Rapport is also fundamental in tutoring and should be a skill equipped by a tutor. Doing so, we can better adjust our tutoring methods to different learners whilst making learning engaging and interactive.
