What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find it incredibly rewarding to help students build confidence in a subject they struggle with. Watching their growth and progress is one of the most fulfilling aspects of tutoring. Teaching in general has always been a passion of mine, it was even my second preference for university.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strengths as a tutor include my ability to understand each student and tailor lessons to suit their unique learning style. I excel at making lessons both engaging and effective, ensuring that we cover the necessary content while keeping the process enjoyable. Additionally, I build strong connections with my students that go beyond the subject matter. This builds a trust which encourages them to ask questions freely, creating a supportive and open learning environment.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to build their confidence. In my experience, the language used during tutoring sessions plays a crucial role in shaping a student’s perception of their abilities and can significantly impact their performance in the subject. Often, students who seek additional help are incredibly bright but lack confidence in their own potential. This is why it’s vital for a tutor to consistently use encouraging, supportive, and motivating language.
