What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love witnessing those "aha" moments when my students finally grasp a concept or solve a problem they've been struggling with. It's incredibly fulfilling to know I've played a part in making things clearer and perhaps a little easier for them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my strengths as a tutor is open communication with families, working together to address challenges and create tailored plans for each student. I am also patient, fostering a comfortable environment where students feel free to ask questions and learn from mistakes.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor's most important role is to create an environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I learned this from my own tutor, who was friendly and patient, letting me make mistakes before gently guiding me to the right answers.

About Kripa

My motto

My name is Kripa Shrestha and I am here to help your child become an independent learner. As much as it is a tutor's job to help students with certain concepts they may be struggling with, it is also important as a tutor to teach them how to learn by themselves, outside of our sessions. With my experience of tutoring two students, I believe I have the capabilities to help your child achieve this goal such that they are able to excel academically and in life.

My Experience

I have tutored 2 students; one for Maths Methods Unit 1/2 and another for year 9 science and maths. During that time, I adapted to each of the students way of learning and tailored my approach to the lesson depending on the student. For example, the Methods Unit 1/2 student struggled to revise and so I would set aside a portion of our lesson to go over previous questions. In this way, it helped them build confidence in answering those same questions in the later lessons. Whereas, the other student came readily into the lesson with questions they were struggling with.
