What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
What I most enjoy about tutoring is the opportunity to try and unlock someone's potential. I find it incredibly satisfying to witness a person go from being puzzled by a concept to really grasping it, building confidence in themselves. I also appreciate the challenge of having to try lots of different ways of explaining something, or saying the same thing in a different mannerβwhich I always find energizing. I enjoy tutoring because it is a great method for me to share my passion for learning and problem-solving and even participate in making a difference in someone else's success, which feels
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I feel that my strengths as a tutor are in breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible pieces and in an ability to tailor explanations to the individual. I'm very patient and always willing to adjust my approach until the student fully understands. I'm also confident in making such a positive and supportive environment that encourages questions and curiosity. This enables me to couple creative and logical thinking with persistence in the quest to identify what really works best with each of my students so that they not only learn something but are motivated and capable.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe that the most important things one can do as a tutor for a student are building their confidence and fostering a true understanding of the subject. It's not just about getting the right answers but teaching them how to approach independent problems. Curiosity and critical thinking are crucial because it allows students to take on challenges from outside of the tutoring session. It is also the job of a tutor to make sure the environment is safe and supportive, where the student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes since that is where real learning happens.
