What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is helping students achieve their academic goals. During my high school years, I constantly strove to improve and frequently sought guidance from my tutors whenever I faced challenges. Now, I aim to provide that same level of care and support to others, hoping to inspire them just as my tutors inspired me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My primary strength as a tutor lies in my deep understanding of the content. During high school, I genuinely enjoyed studying VCE General Mathematics and Economics, finding both subjects not only engaging but fascinating. Another strength—often overlooked and sometimes seen as a weakness—is my experience with mistakes. A significant motivation for becoming a tutor is to help students avoid the pitfalls I encountered. By drawing on my own experiences with failure, I aim to guide students away from similar challenges, steering them toward success with greater confidence and clarity.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important yet simple thing a tutor can do for a student is to care. Care how they feel before a SAC, care about how they feel learning the content, care about how they feel after a SAC. When I was a student the most valuable thing that Tutors did for me was to care about how I was feeling about the lessons and how I felt after a SAC. It may seem like a simple thing, however it was touching to know that there are people who care during the dark time of VCE that many students must face.
