What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy about tutoring kids is that it is incredibly rewarding to watch students go from feeling confused or frustrated to confident and capable enough to achieve anything. Seeing their growth and accomplishments throughout the year enlightens me and motivates me to try harder each time. I also love being able to tailor my teaching to each student's unique learning style, which makes every session feel fresh and engaging. Finally, helping students not just understand the material but also enjoy and understand learning is what keeps me motivated and makes tutoring enjoyable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, my strengths lie in building a strong and supportive environment where students feel motivated and confident to learn. I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual needs, ensuring each student stays engaged and connected with the content. I focus on promoting critical thinking by guiding students through challenges rather than providing direct answers, and encouraging independent problem-solving. My structured approach to lessons ensures clear goals, steady progress, and targeted feedback, helping students recognise their growth and achieve their goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important things I can do for a student are to build confidence, encourage independent learning, and help cultivate a growth mindset. A tutor's responsibility is to create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, as this helps them have the desire to fix their mistakes and grow, both emotionally and academically. Rather than just providing answers, I will support each individual to solve answers and understand that mistakes or lack of knowledge are only an opportunity for growth.
