What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The best part of tutoring to me is the process of communicating with the student, understanding him, then teach them the knowledge in a way that is easiest to digest for them. I really enjoy the sense of achievement when I see the student learning the knowledge through my teaching and seeing his grades getting better and better.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strength as a tutor is my ability to use different methods to explain the same concept to different children based on my understanding of them. At home, I have to teach 5 siblings who all have different personalities and interests (also at different ages), so even for the same concept, I will use different examples to explain it. For example, to my sisters, when I explain the concept of inheritance to them, I will use celebrities' appearances as an example whilst to my brothers, I will use characters in Anime or games to explain the concept.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Apart from knowledge transfer, I think being able to support each student differently is very important. For example, when my brother did poorly in his exam despite studying hard, I will share my experience of doing badly in an exam and make use of that experience to find my knowledge gaps and then get better grades next time. I also told him that failing the test is not the end of the day, it is merely an opportunity for you to find knowledge gaps. Then, I went through the paper with him and showed him that he could finish most of the questions by himself so to make him feel confident.
