What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is the opportunity to help students in their learning. In grade school, a Catholic University has this tutoring program that help financially-challenged students. I was part of that program. This has helped me not only in my studies but I have also gained confidence at school. My aunt told me that education is the greatest treasure I can have that no one can steal. From there on, I learned to value education. I was able to finish university on a scholarship. I feel like this is my way of giving back to other kids/students out there.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a very patient person and that I think is one of my strengths. I also like children. This started during internship in college. I was a Physiotherapy graduate and was able to handle disabled children. It was very challenging at first but understanding these children's condition and knowing the hardship they're going through, I started to appreciate each child, with or without disability, that I met.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the tutor's presence, being there for the student to offer help is an important thing a tutor can do for a student. Sometimes parents can get busy and school can be stressful. Being a tutor is not limited to teaching these students in their study. Tutors can also be their friends. As tutors, we can also help students develop their creativity and learning styles. Also, tutors can improve the student's self-esteem and confidence. Through tutoring, students can develop good habits that they can use in life.
