What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I love to foster a passion for learning within my students and gain satisfaction in directly seeing the impact of my involvement through their improved grades and attitude.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I believe my two greatest strengths as a tutor are making learning light-hearted and engaging, and being able to answer "When will I ever need this?" or "Why am I learning this?". As someone with immense curiosity myself, I can sympathize with how the mainstream education system can be dull and unimaginative, not sufficiently catering to all students. Consequently, a goal of mine is to help students value increasing their knowledge from their current perspectives, shining a light on where it could potentially take them. I have found that this approach increases students motivation and results.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is recognize every student is different and do their best to help each student achieve their goals. Maybe the student is bored or lost in their studies and you need to help them see things a different way. A student could be incredibly driven but still struggling in assessments (whether it be conceptual or time management) and you might need to instruct them on the right way to approach study or tests/exams. All of these different avenues are ultimately to improve the students results and overall quality of life.
