What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding ventures I have undertaken throughout my high school years and currently at university, as I taught my peers concepts and theories they did not understand. Enabling them to grasp this knowledge was very fulfilling to me personally, to know that I had helped a person learn something new. As a keen learner myself, it also helped me understand the concepts on a deeper level while researching on the topics before tutoring my friends. I am particularly passionate about Mathematics and Economics.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my biggest strength to be communication and the ability to articulate things in a way students can understand and digest relatively complex concepts in their subjects. Also, I am able to understand the level of knowledge the student possesses and strategies teaching techniques in a personalised manner so that they comprehend it better. Moreover, students facing difficult subjects like Maths easily get demotivated and I can provide encouraging feedback to help them build more confidence.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Understand their basic understanding of the subject knowledge prior to assigning homework and tasks. Have patience and faith in the student when they themselves maybe demotivated by difficult subject matter. They should try to foster deeper understanding of the subject matter rather than simply asking them to memorise certain technical terms or concepts. This will enable them to face non-standard questions in exams and improve their critical thinking.
