What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
There are many things in tutoring that I enjoy, but the thing I enjoy most is when I can see how much my student has improved - whether during the session itself when they have finally grasped the concepts or when results are out and I see that they've been doing well and are able to keep up.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strengths as a tutor are my ability to breakdown complicated concepts into simpler terms for my students, and my ability to empathize and understand my student's situation and be able to create actionable plans and adjustments to cater further to the student's needs to improve performance.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
More important than anything else, an effective tutor must be able to meet the student at their level, whether that is their level of understanding or lack thereof of a given topic, or even going the extra mile and addressing external circumstances they face that affect their academic performance.

He expressed some (but not too much) confidence about how his test went, and he seems to have done generally well in the 3D vectors portion of the test (sans one particularly tricky question), as well as some of his earlier warts with area under the curves. Also, his organisation has continued to improve, though still with much more room to improve.
He still isn't that comfortable with trigonometry in general contexts (i.e. using it outside of a trig-specialised question), and that must be a focus for us moving forward.

We were able to pin-point fairly precisely what he specifically needs to work on based on the diagnostics done, and he was able to understand how to do some of the questions that I showed him how to do and apply it to an extent to similar-ish questions.
There is a lot that needs to be refreshed with his basic algebra, do drills over the holidays would be very valuable.

She was able to grasp the new topic and apply the basic principles of it fairly quickly and well - and her being rather comfortable in class with the topics I introduced/catch-up on 3 weeks ago (algebraic expressions & factoring) gives me confidence.
More revisions on number powers and surds are in order, especially for topics like the Pythagorean theorem and further topics/applications in trigonometry, as that portion is what usually slowed her in the questions I gave her for this topic.
The test reviewer questions were designed to be of higher complexity (though within coverage), and he managed to at least work through some of these well.

It would be a really good idea for him to still show coherent working even in items where he got stumped, to maximise chances of partial points.
