What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
The thing I enjoy the most about tutoring is seeing people reach their full potential. I find it so rewarding in the moments where students finally understand a concept after weeks of being confused. Or the moment when a student gets a good score on a test and discovers just how far their abilities extend. Itโs these crucial moments that not only provide students with a sense of achievement but also increases their own self-confidence, which I find priceless.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I believe my biggest strength as a tutor is my ability to be adaptive to a range of different students. As someone whoโs brother struggles with a learning disability alongside multiple friends, I know how differently people process information and have seen so many people struggle in school simply because their teachers only offer information in a standardised form. I am personally constantly seeking new ways of understanding and conveying information to not only reinforce my own learning but to assist other people in theirs.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is fully engage with the student by understanding their unique strengths, weaknesses, style of learning and personality in order to allow the student a customised experience that lays the foundation for them to reach their maximum potential. I donโt believe itโs enough for a tutor to simply reiterate what a teacher has already told them; they need to care enough about their students to understand them personally in order to implement an effective teaching style and earn the childโs respect.
