What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have a very strong passion for Stem related subjects and to see that I can pass on that knowledge to someone and explain to them something that they had a hard time understanding and seeing their reaction of joy and satisfaction after they have actually understood the concept and students saying that the subject isn’t so bad or hard after all, is what I enjoy the most.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I give attention to details. I take the starting few minutes to understand the child needs and what they want, their strong topics, topics they are struggling with, what they like, they don’t like and things like that. As the sessions progress, I tend to establish a friendly and personal bond with them and make them feel comfortable, supported and welcomed, which I feel is my strength as sometimes children still feel uncomfortable and awkward. I also keep noting small underlying foundational topics that the child might have not understood and then make sure to cover that.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think understanding that every kid is different and special in their own way, and they have their own needs and methods of approaching problems is very important. Every tutor should try to personalise the tutor session based on the needs, learning pattern and pace, interests and goals of the children so that they can make the most out of it.
