What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most enjoyable part of tutoring is witnessing the success of your students. It's fulfilling as a tutor to see your students grasp concepts and gain confidence in their abilities all while improving their skills. Tutoring also allows you to refine your own knowledge and skills deepening your understanding even further. Tutoring is often a flexible job which would fit perfect around my university schedule which is a great as I value a healthy work-life balance.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My key strengths as a tutor consist of communicating complex ideas in ways that are easy to understand. I believe this communication skills and patience is key to helping students understand the work and not feel pressured or frustrated with themselves. Adaptability is also a core strength of mine as each student is unique and their own person and each have their own learning styles and having the ability to adapt my teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students is a valuable skill.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor should be doing for a student is creating a safe and supportive environment in which the student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. This will also boost the student's confidence in their own abilities allowing tutors to identify learning gaps easier to see where the student is struggling. This should all be provided back to the student or parents in a constructive manner so they can also better understand their strengths and weaknesses.
