What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy being able to help. I understand the struggle of falling behind in classes and wanting to catch up. Being there for a student and pushing them for them to figure out the problems on their own but being there for support if needed feels good. I also tend to learn better when Iβm teaching so it helps to be able to help teach them something I know as it strengthen my knowledge too.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am patient and compassionate. As stated earlier, I understand what it must feel like to fall behind in class and struggle with some concepts. Having known this feeling I think it will help me as a tutor primarily I will feel the need to push them to the best of their ability while giving them the space to learn and grow on their own.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in them. To trust that the students do have the capabilities of learning and figuring out problems on their own and that they can grow. Giving the students space while still being there to push them in the right direction is the best way to help a student as we want the student to learn and not just get the answers. We want them to think and be critical.
