What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Seeing the student go through the journey of discovery as you go on that journey of theory and problem solving with them. It's about showing them the ways of thinking through the concepts, and letting them find that most things are very much intuitive and common sense.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strengths are being able to break down concepts, theory, and questions into their components parts, and teach them in a way that is more like a journey than what is usually mired in rote learning and mathematical models. Maths in and of itself derives from common intuition.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to mentor them in how to think about concepts, ideas, and problems. I use 'mentor' here deliberately as we usually see a teacher force a perspective or method of teaching. If a student can grasp why an idea logically flows from one to the next, I believe a passion for the subject naturally emerges from this process. It's all about the story-telling.
