What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

As someone who was lucky enough to have a fantastic physics tutor in high school, I know how important it is to be taught a subject by someone who is actually interested and passionate about the subject. I enjoy tutoring because I have the ability to teach younger kids about how cool STEM (and learning in general) actually is, and hopefully make a difference in their lives.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths are that I am patient and I can think outside the box. It is important as a teacher to be able to break down complex concept into ways that are easy to understand. I am good at making analogies. It is not enough to just understand the content you are teaching. There is a separate skill in being able to transfer that knowledge to someone else.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As mentioned, it is important to be genuinely passionate and interested in what you teach, because that mentality will transfer to the student. It is important to make the content engaging, like through providing real world examples. It is also important that they actually understand what you're teaching and are not afraid to ask questions or ask for you to repeat things.
