As a sports coach and educator, there is nothing more satisfying and fulfilling than seeing a protégé overcome challenges that they never thought they could. Knowledge of the content is key but I feel that communication and the ability to pick up on emotional and social cues are equally important to being an effective tutor. Having taught children of various ages and from different backgrounds, I would be effective in building a rapport with my tutees and being able to cater to their needs through my communication skills and social and emotional awareness.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor should spend time to listen to the needs of the student and spend time to build the students confidence in their own ability.
