What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I feel that it is fulfilling to become a tutor when you realise the profound impact you can have on a student's life. My own experience with Kumon, a mathematics enrichment program, is an example of this. The extra knowledge I gained from learning outside the classroom has helped me shape my future, and I want other students to have that experience too. To witness their growth, perhaps even surpassing my own skills, would be the greatest joy of tutoring.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I possess both the academic and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively engage with younger students. My journey into tutoring began with me helping my nephew with his mathematics assignment, which eventually led me to become a math tutor for the "Tulong Dunong" program, a non-profit initiative providing free educational support to public school elementary students. Additionally, my grades for mathematics when I was in high school range from 3.50 - 4.00.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a tutor, my foremost goal is to offer students the guidance they need to thrive. I aim to ensure that they would not perceive tutoring as another burdensome obligation aside from school. Instead, I strive to create a supportive environment where students can visualise their educational journey and career path, find beauty in learning, and lighten the weight of their academic challenges.
