What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Quick note: It wouldn't let me select Math and Chemistry without selecting English and Biology. But I can tutor Math and Chemistry and Science. Along with basic English. I have always enjoyed helping others with their academics and seeing their face light up every time they understood my explanations have always made me happy. Additionally, my time as an assistant teacher made me realise that I enjoy working with and helping children with their academics as I find it fulfilling knowing I am helping them with their academics.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My greatest strength would be my patience and empathy. Based on my past experience as an assistant teacher, I understand that working with students requires patience and will need clear instructions and further examples to be able to guide them while also encouraging them to keep going. By actively listening to the challenges they face and their questions, I can offer them the support that they will need.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

There are many things I consider that are important when it comes to tutoring such as active listening, clear communication and patience. But personally, the most important to me is helping build the child's confidence about the subject or topic they are struggling with. As a university student myself, I understand how hard it is to remain motivated and encouraged when facing a new unit/topic and how easy it is for someone to fall behind or be unmotivated to learn if I lack the confidence to tackle new challenges. This is why I believe encouraging children academically is important.
