There are a bunch of things I enjoy about tutoring. The one that I would have to say stands out the most, is when a student finally fully grasps a concept. Even though they firmly believed they would never understand. That moment specifically is so rewarding as a tutor.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Approachability I think is a big one. I get the feeling most students feel comfortable enough to ask any question they have. Secondly, I believe I can quickly switch between mental models. Meaning I really try to understand where the student is coming from, to then better guide them towards where they need to be. A tutor is more than just a tutor. The role of tutor is more like a coach or confidant. Students should feel free enough to discuss anything that came up during their day at school. Together both student and tutor can figure out how best to proceed.
