He definitely needs improvement understanding how the questions can be solved. He needs to take the time to figure out how he's going to solve a question and what he needs to do instead of going headfirst into the questions, which gets him confused and going in circles.
He has gotten better at doing the questions by himself, problem solving. And overall his thinking skills have improved.

He still needs improvement in remembering how to do questions as he gets stuck on solving similar questions that are wordfed differently. He also needs to gain more confidence in his answers as he always assumes he's wrong, even when he's right.

He was super attentive for today's lesson, and has greatly improved in formulating his own thoughts, putting together his own sentences and figuring out what is wrong with the answers he gives. I also think I was able to make today's lesson fun and engaging.
I don't know specifically what is going to be on the exam, but considering the past relationship between SACs and exams, it's most likely going to be something related to persuasive texts. We both thought it would be too easy if it were just answering questions about the text analysis, so I've made sure to tell him to expect to write a persuasive text just in case. All in all, I can say today he showed his improvement and should be okay when facing the exam.
He was able to highlight most of the pieces of evidence in the text I told him to find. Was able to follow my prompts and guidance pretty well.

Often forgets what he just said. Understands what the text says, but it doesn't seem like he comprehends it. I I tell him to find something or point to where the author talk about something, he should be able to find it easily just through the overall direction of the argument or text, yet he has trouble doing so.
