What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I love to teach! I sincerely enjoy the struggle of transforming my subconscious concepts of a topic into an explanation eloquent and simple enough for anyone to easily understand. There really is no greater way to fully master a subject than to teach it to someone else; thus, tutoring is beneficial to both the tutor and pupil.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I have a strong enthusiasm for teaching, which I believe communicates to the pupil that I am excited to be there and therefore encourages them to ask me questions to better their understanding. Iβm also very patient and eager to listen. Additionally, Iβm quite extroverted, which is a strength in a position that requires strong communication skills.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do is to create an environment in which the pupil feels encouraged to ask questions. Without a certain degree of security or familiarity, most kids are too nervous or shy to ask questions and thus are left with a minimalistic understanding of a topic, instead of the deeper understanding they could gain by asking more questions.

Orlah readily grasped the concepts of numerical classification and could easily distinguish between rational & irrational numbers and integers, and also used BIDMAS in order of operations very well. She also converted easily between expanded and index form. Very impressed!
Orlah still has trouble with her multiplication tables, especially the 7, 8 and 9 times tables. I would recommend daily practice with flashcards as a lot of other topics are dependent on her times tables, such as adding, subtracting & simplifying fractions, and also any kind of division. She still has a little bit of trouble with the concept of a square root, as well.
