What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I thoroughly enjoy learning about the different interests of students and the ways in which they can access mathematics through their own situations and contexts. I then can use these experiences to tailor my tutoring to each individual. As someone training to become a maths teacher, I love the moment when certain concepts "click" for students and they are able to solve difficult problems they hadn't previously been able to.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am in my final year of studying a dual degree of Secondary Education and Mathematics at UQ, so I have a high level of understanding about mathematical concepts and how children learn in different ways. I have developed my pedagogy over my years at university and I am highly equipped to be compassionate, understanding and efficient as a tutor.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe tutors should be able to aide students' learning in ways teachers cannot with large classes. Tutors have the ability to really get to know a child and their interests, and then be able to apply different maths concepts within these contexts to help the students' understanding.
