What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Having an impact on students and helping them find a passion for learning. I like to actually build a connection with the student and become a little team to help them overcome whatever difficulties they are facing. It’s not them vs the subject. It’s us vs the subject. Seeing them become more comfortable and develop skills is a very rewarding job. Therefore, seeing the students growth is my favourite part.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have a very understanding and patient personality which helps me build a safe and approachable environment with my students very early on. I treat them as more than just students, they are also people that sometimes need a freind. Furthermore, I have had a very international education and have been exposed to many different curriculums and ways of teaching that I can bring to the table when teaching. Lastly, I personally enjoy learning and I think it gets transmitted when I teach which keeps students engaged.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important part is tailoring the way one teaches to the way that is optimal for the student to learn. That may be very clear early on or one may have to experiment for a while but I think individualization is critical. With that also comes, adapting one’s personality a bit to the students requirements, do they need more strictness and disciple or simply encouragement of self esteem and confidence. Every student is different and I think that’s the most important thing to remember as a tutor.
