What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I would enjoy the feeing of making a positive difference in the studentโs life. It feels rewarding to give that kind of support.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I am a recent high school graduate, so I understand the mindset and struggles of a high schooler. I think that building a connection founded on some common ground is a great catalyst for trusting in your tutor, something that is very important.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
A tutor should gage the studentโs level of understanding in order to adapt their teaching style and lesson plan. They should not only explain content, but most importantly, should aid in solving some practice problems step-by-step, before allowing them to complete some on their own. The more practice problems they see, the more comfortable they will feel with the content. The tutor should also frequently ask the student if they have any questions, or if there are any particular concepts that they struggle with, as you want to use your contact hours effectively.
