What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have done limited tutoring however helping out younger students at Prince Alfred College was always rewarding watching them succeed in assignments or tests in which I helped them study. Tutoring has become unexpectedly important to me. There's a quiet satisfaction in helping someone navigate challenging concepts. While it's not a grand mission, guiding others through academic challenges feels like a meaningful part of my journey, offering help to others in academic areas which I enjoyed throughout my schooling journey.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am highly sociable and work extremely well with people. Being a prefect leader at PAC, especially being a part of the ambassador portfolio, means I worked closely with younger students. I have always been an organised and hardworking individual, only striving for the best results. I think the major strength I bring as a tutor is my age and experience. As I have only recently completed SACE and year 12 in 2023 and moving into University in Mechanical Engineering I offer life experiences that may help them in their academic journey that I also used.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think that some tutors get caught up in focusing solely on the work in front of them and miss out on teaching younger students about the life in front of them. Instead of doing more work, tutors should provide organisation tips and possible strategies they can put in place to improve the quality of their work. Also, forming close relationships with students is also highly important and the way a tutor can interact with their students makes all the difference.
