What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Part of the enjoyment of tutoring is being able to approach learning in different directions suited to each student. Understanding that each student learns and understands concepts differently, I find it an enjoyable challenge for tutors to discover the most efficient ways students can learn. I especially recognised this during my year 12, when I would approach revision methods that weren\'t suited for any of my friends. I like that tutoring has endless possibilities as you can\'t apply the same study techniques to all subjects, each subject has a unique way of approaching them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
Trying to become a tutor, I understand that tutors have a responsibility to their students to not just spit out content and tell them to memorise it, but rather develop a sense of care and passion for their dreams and goals. In this way, tutors are ready to commit all resources to assist the students in achieving their studies. Another strength tutors must have is finding not just students\' weaknesses but also strengths, as it is the strengths in a student\'s understanding that provide clues to tutors about how to approach teaching different concepts.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
As a tutor, you can\'t approach each student as if they are the same person learning the same subject. Each individual has different weaknesses and strengths. For a tutor to recognise this fact is detrimental to ensuring the tutor can target each student\'s weaknesses effectively instead of wasting time. Having been a student myself, I know time is the most important resource. It is for that reason tutors need to be critical in understanding and building a unique connection with each student.
