What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is a rewarding and valuable experience. Not only am I able to share my knowledge and make differences in the students' academic journey but I find there is a sense of accomplishment witnessing the growth of both the students' confidence as well as my own interpersonal skills. I am able to make meaningful connections that extend beyond the classroom and be a constant source of support.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I can adapt to individual needs and preferences providing an effective learning experience for the student by analysing their learning style and tailoring my explanations and methods accordingly. Having been tutored for most of my life, I have access to all my notes that I can present in clear, concise and engaging ways. For example, to maintain an engaging class, I will use different formats such as analogies, examples and visual aids to make learning more interesting and memorable. I am incredibly patient and not easily frustrated which allows me to work with students at their own pace.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It is important to not just provide answers but rather to guide students to discover concepts and solutions themselves so that they are able to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This can be done by asking thought-provoking questions. encouraging independent thinking and teach them how to analyse, evaluate and apply information effectively. Moreover, celebrating the progress of students\' efforts and achievements, regardless of how small, builds motivation and confidence. Positive reinforcement will spark curiosity and make learning an enjoyable and meaningful experience
