What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I often have helped my younger brothers with their high school studies and get a lot of pride from helping them realise something is really not as hard as it seems.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I possess quite the typical engineer's mind. By breaking them down into systems and singular segmented parts and steps. This allows me to teach things smoothly & sequentially in their most basic parts to not "jump the gun" & confuse students. Although I'm sure this doesn't set me too far ahead of other candidates, I often find it quicker to work out things in my head before I pick up the calculator to check, this will streamline the learning process for a client, especially handy in maths methods, as I can see mistakes in working out on the spot.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The best thing my methods tutor did for me in year 12 was by far to cut out the crap and stretched analogies. To learn things simply for what they are. By understanding principles in a simple and raw way, the originally complex problems were solved at a glance, leaving only the problem of writing down the working I had already seen in my mind. Together we were able to work through the entire calculus unit in 4 lessons (4 hours), and have me solving the hardest exam questions such as Heffernan exams, known for their difficulty. Im sure clients would be happy if I did this for them too.
