What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The sense of satisfaction in seeing a student's progression in their learning and their efforts successfully coming into fruition. If anything, its the pride that I feel, from knowing that I have not only cracked the student's way of thinking and approached their learning style in a way that benefits their effective absorption of material. The efforts from both myself and my student working in conjunction makes the whole tutoring process very rewarding and have long given me a sense of fulfillment. I also enjoy making learning fun and applying what I have previously found effective to all.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

If it's one thing that I valued most from my years of being a tutee, is the gentle persistency of my previous tutors in ensuring that I have the learning material down pat, regardless of my stubborness. As such, I have drawn much inspiration from my previous tutors in offering my students the same, preparing a multitude of different learning approaches to effectively utilise a student's learning approach to the best of their ability. I am both patient and firm with my students, to ensure that they feel comfortable in an engaging environment and inspiring them to learn with a can-do attitude.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe patience, resilience, and the ability to think fast to generate alternate ways to regain the student's focus, particularly if they are on the younger side. Aside from paying attention to the student's attention span, more importantly, a tutor should be prepared on going about different routes to ensure understanding of course content and application, as not all studying patterns can be applicable for each student. A solid understanding of the visual, auditory and reading/writing learning methods can prove useful in ensuring any student's ability to effectively absorb information.
