What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

To me, there's this inexplicable sense of pride and satisfaction in watching the progress of your students. It's in knowing that it wasn't just your support, but the student's hard work themselves, which gives me the pride when I see that improvement in my students, but also satisfaction in seeing my students have a bit of perk in their step after receiving a good grade. It's just a job that generally isn't too stressful and can be really rewarding personally to me.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I think my strengths are definitely in how I am able to effectively tailor my teaching approach to the student based on their personality. This means that I work to ensure that I understand my client not just as a student, but as a friend, and in my informal experience as a tutor I've found this helps especially in ensuring whether my student genuinely understands a concept which is crucial to their academic progress. I always consider different paces for different students, but always provide a necessary push which I find highly beneficial to their progress.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Provide adequate motivation and encouragement. A tutor is only half responsible for the student's progress, and the student is responsible for the other half through their own work and perseverance. It is therefore crucial that a tutor teaches not only content, but also good work ethic to a student by encouraging and motivating them to work hard by themselves outside of lessons, which I believe can bring success to any student.
