I love being able to connect with students, building a rapport to see them grow so much further than they thought they were capable. I love being able to find different ways of explaining concepts so that they can connect with the content and have 'ahhhh' moments.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am currently completing a Bachelor of Education (Mathematics) at the University of Wollongong as well as working casually as an SLSO and I can see this course and this experience having incredible impacts on the way that I teach. I have also placed a fair amount of effort into refining my communication and people skills resulting in my being able to create and sustain a connection with students, allowing them to learn at a deeper level.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that for a student, having someone who can understand and convey concepts in a relational way (not instructional) is so important to a true understanding of the content. When working with students, being a person of support and pushing where they can but not overwhelming the student is an integral aspect of their growth. Furthermore, having someone that they trust to relate to establishes a safe environment where they can admit if they do not understand and from here we can work together to build upon their knowledge.Subjects Tutored 🎓
