What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The fact that I can engage with students in individualised learning, which not only allows them to achieve mastery of the content knowledge, but also bolsters my own understanding of fundamental concepts. The intimacy and personalised aspects of tutoring are thus very appealing to me.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have the passion, knowledge (99.8 predicted ATAR), but more importantly, I understand the mental processes of pedagogy. At school, this year, I founded, organised, and led the first Maths club, preparing 20+ students between years 7---9 for competitions and tests while teaching conceptual mastery. I also founded an individualised student talent mentorship program with the school executive and talent development team, where I coordinated 12 mentors & mentees and personally mentored 3 exceptionally talented students in maths, history, literature, psychology, and philosophy.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Beyond providing highly personalised guidance in conceptual mastery and timely responses to urgent, specific questions, tutors can act as effective role models and inspire passion for learning beyond the ordinary standard. As education systems chafe under the pressure of accelerating technological progress, personal tutors can help fill in the empty niche of a trusted and up-to-date mentor which so many students need and crave.
