What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The main thing I have enjoyed about tutoring, so far, is watching students learn and improve. I also think I have personally grown from my tutoring experience, which (through trial and error) has taught me how to better approach student's individual needs and challenges. I also enjoy being able to provide an additional layer of support and offer that one-on-one feedback that is not possible within the classroom.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Having graduated in 2022, I believe I offer a unique perspective as still attuned to the mindset of a student. The not-so-distant memories I have relating to school and HSC stress mean that I am more relatable to students, more receptive to their needs, and up-to-date with the challenges of today’s school system and content. I also think I am very dedicated to offering as much support as I can, spending additional time before sessions to go over topics, organising a lesson plan, and considering how I can best approach a student's weaknesses.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is tailor their approach to accomodate for the needs of a student. I also think it is incredibly important to offer both academic support and assurance, particularly when a student lacks academic confidence. A lot of the time, errors or poor performance are rooted in students' hesitance and belief that they are not capable.
