Tutors fill a different role than teachers and parents, and that puts them in a unique position to support students. Personal relationships are foundational to student success -- the more connected a student feels to his or her tutor, the more the tutor creates trust and respect, essential ingredients for students to learn well. When a tutor…

Firstly, to understand a student's needs based on what they're studying and how best they learn. I believe making a student become confident in their own ability is very important. Students sometimes have doubts themselves and I believe I can encourage them to be confident and actually enjoy learning. A tutor should also develop growth in a student and provide a practical path to succeed. I am relatable, hardworking and easy going. I am able…
One of the most important things is to ensure that a tutor is able to make the student comfortable during the lesson. Working in a suitable environment allows the student to perform at a higher performance. This includes bonding with the student and encouraging them whenever possible, providing positive reinforcement. Another important thing is…

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student is providing them with support in different aspects not just academically. I think it’s extremely important for the student to like and have confidence in what they are doing and stay curious for what they are about to learn. That’s why I think a tutor’s support can provide some…

The most important thing a tutor can do is empower a student by making them believe in their ability. My strengths are that I can empathise with students as I have been in their positions. In addition, I believe I have a strength in clear communication, which is important because that helps me explain solutions to students and help them understand…
Motivate their students. I have a motto that I tell all of my members: "It doesn't matter if we get it right or wrong. An incorrect answer is an opportunity to learn something new." It's something I truly believe and something the children I tutor respond really well to. It takes the pressure off the need to be perfect and instead focuses them on…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to develop a good enough connection with the student which would allow them to be comfortable enough to open up about any questions they have with the content being taught. This involves building rapport with the student and understanding thoroughly how the student grasps information and…
Provide them with attentive 1 on 1 help with their struggles in the tutored subject. I think I also have to help them improve their grades and make them feel the subject becomes easier to an extent. I am patient and take time to prepare for lessons. I try to find creative ways of explaining a topic and like to reflect on my explanations in my own…
The most important thing I can do for a student is to empower them with the skills and confidence to solve problems independently. I also focus on creating a supportive environment where students…
The most important thing a tutor can do is make the student passionate about their subject. If the student isn't motivated to learn, no amount of lecturing or assignments will help them. There are so many small things about each subject that are super interesting to learn about, but without the right tutor some students miss out. As a young tutor…
Help them achieve their goals. It isn't about getting the highest marks, it's about improving and feeling good about going into tests and exams and feeling confident you know the material. Being able to complete tests to the best of your ability is always the main goal. Slow and detailed explanations of the topic. I'm really good at going in depth…
To help the students improve in a way that they can feel confident in the subject they are learning by building up their motivation and maximizing their potentials. 1. Easygoing

To be a good tutor, I feel like you need to be personally connected with your students. Each student has their own unique situation whether it be family or academic and as a tutor, you must be able to work with what your students have. After all, I believe that is the role of a tutor; to help students build upon what they have and then help them…
Tutors have to be cooperative and empathetic to teach students. Moreover, they need to embody leadership qualities. It is necessary for the students to enjoy learning so that they can have a complete grasp of knowledge about a particular subject. This will allow them to achieve their desired results. We are more than happy with Kancelot. He and Rohan seem to get along well, he is punctual and polite , and is also helping Rohan improve his maths skills.
Yes, everything is going well and Avishag is GREAT! She is clear, direct, and no-nonsense, which is exactly what Is needs (can't get away with anything), and yet this is balanced with underlying kindness (motivated to do well). It's not something I can describe well in words, but Isabelle definitely responds well to Avi's method. She has improved to passing the most recent test (from massively nowhere near passing), and I can see her confidence in math has improved, too. She was shocked to suddenly find herself helping some of her friends work through questions that they couldn't understand, and enjoyed the feeling, so that is an achievement! Yes, she still has a long way to go, but we're off to a good start. It's so good to have Avi reinforce methods of organization and skills that don't register for Is when I mention them, too! We are both very, very grateful to have Avi help Is through this.
We are extremely happy with Estephanie. She has managed to hit exactly the right note. We are just looking for Isabel to understand some basic principles and Estaphie is managing this with patience and skill. I cannot speak highly enough of Estaphanie.
