Geography Tutor Caversham, WA
According to me, it is to be open and provide a comfortable environment to the students, where they can study and share their thoughts without hesitating. Apart from this, it is to make learning a fun process by teaching in a more fun way, this includes doing different activities to make children understand the concepts, etc. I do possess great…

Listen to them, always ask if they understand and if they do not try to explain again or in another way. It is also beneficial to know what type of learner the students are. What motivates them and keeping them engaged throughout the session. My patience, listening and…

Teach a student the way they can understand it. I’ve had many tutors for my self and the one thing that I didn’t like to much was that they didn’t know how to fully explain and they didn’t know how I like to learn. So finding the way the student learns the most efficiently from is one of the most important things I am a very calm and…

Being patient with them and understanding their method of study to personalise the teaching/tutoring method to ensure the child absorbs the most information they can. I have previously been a music tutor and I think my best strengths are my patience with younger children, my proficiency in the subjects I teach. The fact that I can relate to them…

Austin must be a great teacher. Got Anthony to even find it important to do homework in math.

Inside MalagaTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 12 student Dylan reviewed electric and magnetic fields, focusing on application questions and an introduction to magnetic flux, using worked examples.

For Year 11, Aaron revised absolute value functions, function composition (f(x), f(g(x))), and explored domains, ranges, and graph shapes.

Year 10 student Fatima tackled linear systems of equations through practice problems and also began work on graphing reciprocal functions in Specialist Maths.

Recent Challenges

In Year 12 Physics, one student relied heavily on formula sheets when tackling integration and magnetic field questions—"practice using different methods without the assist of the formula sheet is needed," noted a tutor.

In Year 11 Mathematics, a student's confusion between force balance and moment balance led to errors in motion problems, as they often mixed up which process applied.

Meanwhile, a Year 3 learner would frequently guess answers for division tasks involving more than three digits rather than work through the steps. This meant time was spent retracing calculations instead of moving forward confidently with new material.

Recent Achievements

One Malaga tutor noticed a Year 11 student who used to rely heavily on guidance now preparing her own questions before sessions and confidently working through 14 advanced maths problems without prompting—a real shift towards independent learning.

Meanwhile, a Year 8 student who often second-guessed himself in class has started catching his own errors in algebra and correcting them straight away, saying he feels he's finally improving at maths.

In primary years, Annabelle can now convert digital time to analogue independently and quickly spot number patterns, even explaining her thinking out loud as she works through new examples.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Ballajura Public Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Al-Ameen College - Malaga Campus.
