I think a tutor should understand a student's condition quickly and easily and see through the student on how they feel about the subject. A tutor must also be able to explain well and clearly, be patient and flexible. A tutor must show the student the way about how to learn. I am patient, reliable and know many ways on how to explain things to…

Firstly, to understand a student's needs based on what they're studying and how best they learn. Thirdly, to be prepared before each tutoring session (know what topics we are going to cover that day and which exercises to complete).…
I think the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to have them gain confidence with themselves in terms of excelling in school. I think this confidence is important in not just getting high marks in quizzes and tests, but I believe that being confident will help them long-term in solving problems not just in school, even though…
Be patient and actually encourage them to study and work hard. I like to start each session by actually asking them about their goals and if they have a set goal motivate them to pursue it. Explain it to them grades are important and make a big difference. Also, always let them know ask any single thing they want. The more questions the more they…

A tutor should be able to understand the problem faced by the student and should also correct it in a way so that the student does not repeat the same mistake as well as learns from the mistake. I am very patient and I know how to make a student understand the…
I think the most important thing that a tutor can do is be supportive. Students are already frustrated when they do not understand something, hence we do not need to add to that by being frustrated at them. In addition, a tutor needs to be flexible. This allows one to better tailor the program to the student's needs and the student's strengths. I…
A tutor has the opportunity to shape a students' mind, in more ways than one. Therefore, the most important thing a tutor can do is to make the best use of this opportunity and let the student discover the best version of themselves. I believe I am very patient, which is an important quality for any tutor. I do not mind even if I have to explain…

I consider the most important things a tutor can do for a student to be developing the student's interest for the subject and also maintaining academic integrity. I recently graduated from Brisbane Girls Grammar School with an ATAR of 99.70. I consider myself a friendly and approachable person to all ages. I am a creative thinker and problem…
I believe that as a tutor, the crucial things that I must always do for my students include:
- identify their weakness by thoroughly observing their performances in various tasks
- help them improve on their weakness by consistent practice, not rigorous, but consistent
- help set milestones for every student which challenge their weaknesses and…

I think it would be to find a way most suitable for that student to understand the content and be encouraging. Emphasize with the students and help them build a positive learning habit which they can benefit from for a lifetime. I have a solid understanding of maths and science concepts and experience as a private tutor. I genuinely like…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student, in my opinion, are not only concrete plans and a sufficient level of knowledge, but also empathy to understand what the student needs and their natural ability. A tutor, in my opinion, is not someone who places a high level of math practise in the hands of an art student who dislikes math. A…

In my opinion the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them reach their goals. Whether that may be to help them catch up in certain subjects, to reach for top marks for their desired high school or university or in need of motivation to study in creating habits. I believe that the most important thing will be for the tutor…
We are more than happy with Kancelot. He and Rohan seem to get along well, he is punctual and polite , and is also helping Rohan improve his maths skills.
Yes, everything is going well and Avishag is GREAT! She is clear, direct, and no-nonsense, which is exactly what Is needs (can't get away with anything), and yet this is balanced with underlying kindness (motivated to do well). It's not something I can describe well in words, but Isabelle definitely responds well to Avi's method. She has improved to passing the most recent test (from massively nowhere near passing), and I can see her confidence in math has improved, too. She was shocked to suddenly find herself helping some of her friends work through questions that they couldn't understand, and enjoyed the feeling, so that is an achievement! Yes, she still has a long way to go, but we're off to a good start. It's so good to have Avi reinforce methods of organization and skills that don't register for Is when I mention them, too! We are both very, very grateful to have Avi help Is through this.
We are extremely happy with Estephanie. She has managed to hit exactly the right note. We are just looking for Isabel to understand some basic principles and Estaphie is managing this with patience and skill. I cannot speak highly enough of Estaphanie.
