As we had this class on zoom with the help of my iPad I was able to guide Miranda on how to solve multiplication problems and by the end of the session, she was confident with how the process works.
Need to work on her ability to recall timetables especially for higher numbers.

From the last session, Miranda had a good grasp of how to solve these problems. This was a short session but she informed me that learning through the iPad made it a lot easier for her to understand how to solve the problems.
This time we solved more difficult problems so sometimes she was forgetting steps midway but this can definitely be fixed through practice.

This session wasn't that long as well but we worked on different types of division and multiplication problems where we had to keep applying times tables skills. I had given her homework to do so that she can recall the times' tables better which she didn't complete as she was feeling sick. Later I observed her while she tried to do it in front of me and that showed that she was recalling the answers quicker than before.
We still need to work on her randomly recalling the times' table. For example, if I asked her what's 5x5 she would have to start from 5x1 and get t 5x5 to give me an answer.

Miranda was able to understand how the process works and she demonstrated her understanding by solving one of the problems herself. Her ability to recall the timetables is decent.
We will need to work on the pace at which she is recalling the timetables. She sometimes makes a mistake in the middle which ends up screwing up the entire timetable for her. For example, if she says 7 times 3 is 22 she'll end up saying 7 times 4 is 29 and so on. So we will need to work on her ability to remember random multiplications without having to start from the top.
