What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching the students grow in confidence while learning new or difficult concepts. As well as watching them becoming more comfortable in doing the different activities and feeling more capable. For me, the success of a good tutor does not lie in how high their students' grades improve by (although an important indicator), rather in the students' confidence regarding what they have just learnt.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Patience, good time management skills, having a lack of judgement, being approachable, having leadership skills, being prepared, good listener and prior experience in tutoring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is create a trusting and supportive relationship with their student. From previous tutoring experience, I have found that this enables the student to more confidently ask questions and seek extra help without feeling a sense of judgement, enabling greater progress and growth to be made. Furthermore, such a trusting relationship enables the tutor-student relationship to extend beyond the learning environment and allows the student to create a friendship with someone that they look up to.
