What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find working with young people and helping other people to understand and learn highly rewarding. I believe I have a natural ability to tap into others' learning styles to help them comprehend specific subjects or concepts.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe that it is not just your understanding of a subject, but your understanding of the person you are teaching that allows you to successfully tutor someone. My strength is in connecting with people and their learning/thinking patterns to help them truly understand a concept or subject. I believe that this, combined with my strong foundation of understanding of the subject myself, helps me to achieve a positive outcome for the person I am tutoring/mentoring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Give students sense of power and control over their learning: I think that it is extremely important for a student to feel independent and in control over their learning. In my experience, when a student can take pride in their work they are more likely to succeed in the learning environment. If they are struggling to understand the subject or concepts being taught, it can make them feel out of control or hopeless - leading to poorer outcomes. I like to put the power back into their hands and give them the ability to grasp a subject and succeed on their own terms.
